The design story of our WAX-FREE ball!
We're proud to present this innovative ball. You can play handball without using wax. Our engineers worked on the internal structure to give you better grip. The honeycomb structure on the perforated carcass appears when you hold it. This makes it easier to grip the ball so that you can practise difficult moves and master the spin shot.
Why did we design this ball?
Our team of handball players developed this ball with one thing in mind: being able to play without using wax. Why? Because some sports halls don't allow handball because the wax leaves marks. The innovative outer made it possible to create a whole new ball. It gives you the same grip quality as if you were playing with wax. But without gathering dirt!
A lab-tested ball!
Although the ball has a honeycomb structure similar to a golf ball, this doesn't mean it's weak. The proof? This ball passed all our lab tests with flying colours! After 1500 shots against a steel plate at 50 km/h, it still looked almost as good as new. Our engineers also used a hybrid technique: the stitching on the ball is on the inside to prevent early wear and improve the ball's longevity.
A court-tested ball!
Our passionate team members worked closely on this ball's design with 25 future professional players from the Pôle Espoirs centre in Lyon, France. These players know what they want from a boot. The result? Even though most are used to playing with wax, 83% said the WAX-FREE ball met their expectations!
